First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested a program in the emergency department that used motivational interviews and a mobile-friendly website to help parents correctly use car seats, booster seats, and seat belts for their children. Over 500 English- and Spanish-speaking caregivers of children aged 6 months to 10 years took part. The goal was to see if the program helped parents follow safety guidelines, like using the right seat size and always placing kids in the back seat.
