First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether daily low-frequency electrical stimulation of the auditory cortex can reduce the ringing or buzzing of chronic tinnitus. About 30 adults with bothersome tinnitus for at least 6 months will receive the stimulation for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if it significantly lowers tinnitus distress and improves quality of life.
