Sing away the ringing: new training could ease tinnitus without gadgets
NCT ID NCT06880367
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests a training program where people with chronic tinnitus use their own voice and movements to create sounds that mask or quiet the ringing. Researchers will compare how much tinnitus bothers participants who do the training versus those who don't, using questionnaires and brain wave recordings. The goal is to see if this self-made sound approach can reduce daily-life disability from tinnitus.
