First seen Jun 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested three non-drug treatments—cognitive behavioral therapy, a breathing exercise, and psychoeducation—to see which best reduces the distress caused by tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Seventy adults with tinnitus were randomly assigned to one of the three approaches. The goal was to find which method most improves daily life, anxiety, and mood over six months.
