Timing your meals could be key to managing diabetes

NCT ID NCT07272460

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether time-restricted eating (eating only during a set window each day) can help preserve insulin-making cells and improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes who are overweight. About 112 adults will be assigned to either a time-restricted eating plan or usual care for 52 weeks. The goal is to see if this simple dietary approach can slow diabetes progression.
