Early Time-Restricted eating study for diabetes halted after just 2 participants
NCT ID NCT06887543
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if eating 80% of daily calories before 2pm (early time-restricted eating) could improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes compared to a usual eating pattern. Only 2 participants were enrolled before the study was terminated, so no meaningful conclusions can be drawn. The approach was based on the idea that eating earlier may help stabilize glucose and promote fat burning.
