16-Hour fasting diet tested for menopause weight gain and symptoms

NCT ID NCT06855784

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether time-restricted eating (eating only during an 8-hour window each day) can help menopausal women—including those treated for hormone-sensitive breast cancer—lose weight, reduce menopause symptoms, and improve overall health. 84 women will be randomly assigned to either the fasting plan or their usual eating habits for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if this simple diet change can ease the challenges of menopause.
