Summary
This study looked at 220 adults with treated hypothyroidism to see if the thickness of the thyroid isthmus (measured by ultrasound) could predict a difficult breathing tube placement during surgery. Researchers measured the isthmus before anesthesia and compared it to standard difficulty scores. The goal is to help anesthesiologists better prepare for challenging intubations in this patient group.
