Summary
This study tests a decision-support tool that uses early blood tests to predict the best dose of levothyroxine (thyroid hormone) after thyroid removal. Normally, finding the right dose takes months of trial and error. The tool aims to get patients to the correct dose faster, which may improve their symptoms and quality of life. The study involves 240 adults who had their thyroid removed for cancer or benign nodules.
