First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether removing central neck lymph nodes during thyroid cancer surgery lowers the chance of cancer coming back. About 392 adults with 2-4 cm papillary thyroid cancer and no signs of spread will be randomly assigned to have the extra node removal or not. Researchers will track cancer recurrence and surgical complications over several years.
