Summary
This study compares two surgical treatments for thumb arthritis (rhizarthrosis) in 50 adults over 45. One group gets a new thumb joint replacement (prosthesis), the other gets the standard surgery (trapezectomy). The goal is to see which approach leads to better hand function and less pain in the short term after surgery.
