First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at 104 people with acute deep vein thrombosis (blood clots) in the large veins of the leg. Half will get standard blood-thinning medication, and the other half will also have a procedure to suction out the clot, sometimes with a balloon or stent. The goal is to see if removing the clot helps prevent long-term problems like leg pain and swelling over 2 years.
