NCT ID NCT05735639

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving blood-thinning medicine after varicose vein surgery can prevent dangerous blood clots. About 1 in 50 people get a clot after this keyhole procedure, which can cause pain, swelling, or even travel to the lungs. The trial will enroll 6,660 adults and compare those who get the medicine to those who don't, tracking clot rates for 90 days.
