First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study examined the connection between a rounded upper back (thoracic kyphosis) and shoulder pain, movement, strength, and daily function in 30 adults aged 18 to 60 with a kyphosis angle over 40 degrees. Researchers measured the curve of the spine, pain levels, shoulder motion, muscle strength, and arm function using standard tools. The goal was to better understand how posture might relate to shoulder problems.
