New Alzheimer's drug takes first step in patients

Summary

This study tests a new drug called THN391 in 15 people with early Alzheimer's disease to see if it is safe and how the body handles it. Participants will receive three monthly doses of the drug or a placebo and undergo blood tests, brain scans, spinal taps, and memory tests. This is an early-phase study focused on safety, not yet on whether the drug works for Alzheimer's.
