Summary

This study looked at whether giving thiamine (vitamin B1) for 28 days after a heart defect repair procedure helps children's hearts recover. The trial included 86 children aged 6 months to 18 years with certain heart defects. Researchers measured heart structure and function using echocardiograms and blood tests to see if thiamine made a difference.
