Summary
This study tested a new psychological treatment for autistic young people who struggle with sensory experiences like sounds or textures. 25 participants completed a group therapy program designed to reduce sensory difficulties and related anxiety. Before and after the program, they did tasks to see if the therapy changed brain and behavioral responses. The main goal was to see if the treatment was acceptable and helpful.
