First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether therapeutic touch—a gentle, non-invasive technique—could improve sleep and reduce fatigue in people with advanced cancer receiving palliative care. Sixty-one patients took part, with half receiving 20 minutes of therapeutic touch daily for five days, while the other half continued standard care. The results measured changes in sleep quality and fatigue severity using standard questionnaires.
