Scientists test how seniors handle cannabis highs and lows
NCT ID NCT05906511
Summary
This Yale University study aims to understand how THC, the main active ingredient in cannabis, works in older adults. Researchers will compare how the body processes THC taken as a pill versus inhaled as a vapor in 20 volunteers aged 65 and older. The study will measure pain relief, side effects, and the potential for abuse to gather basic safety and effect data.
