Scientists test cannabis effects on Seniors' pain and safety
NCT ID NCT05906511
Summary
This Yale University study aims to understand how THC, the main active ingredient in cannabis, works in older adults aged 65 and up. Researchers will compare how the body processes THC taken as a pill versus inhaled as a vapor, and measure its effects on pain sensitivity, side effects, and potential for misuse. The study involves 20 healthy older volunteers who have some past experience with cannabis.
