Text messages aim to calm parent panic over child fevers
NCT ID NCT07248488
Summary
This study tests whether sending parents a text message with clear advice after they call an emergency helpline about their child's fever helps them manage the situation at home. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost approach reduces unnecessary trips to the emergency room, improves how well parents follow medical advice, and lowers their anxiety. The study will involve nearly 1,800 calls from parents of children aged 3 months to 10 years with uncomplicated fever.
