NCT ID NCT07479823
First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a guided, text-based expressive writing program can help lower suicidal thoughts in adolescents and young adults aged 13 to 24 who have experienced suicidal thoughts, attempts, or self-harm. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the writing program plus their usual care, or usual care alone. Over 4 weeks, the writing group will complete short writing exercises several times a week, focusing on emotions and personal experiences. Researchers will track changes in suicidal thoughts, depression, and well-being over 8 weeks.
