Could testosterone gel be a Bone-Saver for diabetic men?
NCT ID NCT03887936
Summary
This study is testing whether a testosterone gel can improve bone strength and reduce fracture risk in men who have both type 2 diabetes and low testosterone. Researchers are enrolling 92 male veterans to receive either the testosterone gel or a placebo gel for one year. The main goal is to see if the treatment makes bones stronger by measuring changes in bone quality and markers of bone health.
