Can your phone really count your calories? new study puts apps to the test

NCT ID NCT05166226

Summary

This study aims to check how accurately two smartphone apps measure calories and nutrients when people use them in their daily lives. Researchers enrolled 45 adults to test the PortionSize™ and MyFitnessPal apps by comparing their readings against carefully weighed food. The goal is to see if these apps can reliably help people track their eating habits for health research and personal use.
