New hope for rare lung cancer: targeted pill may outperform standard care

Summary
This study tests whether the targeted drug tepotinib works better than standard treatments for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific MET gene change. About 133 adults who have already tried at least one prior treatment will be randomly assigned to receive either tepotinib pills or the doctor's choice of standard therapy. The main goal is to see if tepotinib delays cancer growth and improves quality of life, with side effects that are generally manageable.
