This study tested a non-invasive nerve stimulation device (TENS-WAA) based on acupuncture theory to see if it could lower the amount of pain medicine needed during general anesthesia. 60 adults undergoing surgery were enrolled. The goal was to keep heart rate and blood pressure stable when a breathing tube is inserted. The device may help reduce side effects from anesthesia.
