Shocking away pain: TENS device tested for knee surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT07155837
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether TENS, a non-invasive device that uses low-voltage electricity, can help manage pain in the first 24 hours after total knee replacement. About 44 adults having their first knee replacement will either receive TENS twice (30 minutes each) plus standard care, or standard care alone. Researchers will measure pain, its impact on daily activities like walking and sleeping, and patient satisfaction.
