NCT ID NCT05701956
First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving a clot-dissolving drug (tenecteplase) before a procedure to remove a clot (thrombectomy) helps people with a severe stroke caused by a blockage in a key artery at the back of the brain. About 330 adults who had a stroke 4.5 to 24 hours earlier took part. The main goal was to see if more people could live independently 90 days later with the combination treatment compared to the procedure alone.
