One shot vs. many: new drug may better protect young cancer patients from chemo side effects

NCT ID NCT06926751

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single injection of Telpegfilgrastim works better than multiple daily injections of Filgrastim to prevent fever and dangerously low white blood cell counts caused by chemotherapy in children and teens (ages 6-24) with solid tumors. About 132 participants will receive one of the two drugs after each chemo cycle. The goal is to see which approach reduces infections, hospital stays, and treatment delays.
