Home rehab matches clinic therapy for shoulder surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07205094

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested whether doing physical therapy at home via video calls (telerehabilitation) works as well as going to a clinic after rotator cuff surgery. 30 people who had surgery at least 6 weeks earlier took part. Both groups did 8 weeks of exercises, and the home group showed even better improvements in shoulder movement and quality of life. The results suggest telerehabilitation is a good alternative to traditional therapy.
