Remote rehab rivals clinic visits for shoulder surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT06744218

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether doing physical therapy at home through video calls (telerehabilitation) is as good as going to a clinic for in-person sessions after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. About 46 adults aged 40-70 who had shoulder surgery will be split into two groups: one doing rehab at home with a therapist via video, the other doing standard in-person therapy. The main goal is to see if both approaches lead to similar improvements in pain, shoulder movement, and daily function during the first month after surgery.
