Can speech therapy at home match in-clinic results? new study aims to find out.

NCT ID NCT04682223

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026

Summary

This study compares two ways of delivering speech therapy to people with aphasia (trouble speaking or understanding language) after a stroke. One group gets therapy at home via video calls, and the other gets therapy in a clinic. The goal is to see if remote therapy works as well as in-person therapy for improving speech and quality of life. About 100 adults who had a stroke at least a year ago will take part.
