Can your phone help you sleep better? new study tests digital rehab for sleep apnea
NCT ID NCT05049928
Summary
This study tested whether adding a smartphone-based rehabilitation program to standard CPAP therapy could help obese adults with severe sleep apnea better manage their condition. 180 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the telerehab program plus CPAP or CPAP alone. The goal was to see if the digital coaching could help people make lifestyle changes to improve sleepiness, quality of life, and other health markers over six months.
