First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether two types of telemedicine (virtual doctor visits) can help children with sickle cell disease get better care, especially in areas with few doctors. About 24 families will try one of two telemedicine models for a year. Researchers will track things like appointment attendance, lab tests, and how often kids have pain crises or need hospital care.
