Virtual visits could make kidney donation counseling easier

NCT ID NCT07206069

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using video calls (telemedicine) is a good way to educate and counsel people who are thinking about donating a kidney while they are still alive. Researchers want to see if this approach helps donors make better decisions and stay engaged in the process. About 70 participants in California will either get standard care or telemedicine visits, and the study will compare how well each method works.
