Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app could improve care for patients receiving hospital-level treatment at home. Over 200 patients were split into two groups: one used the app to report symptoms and connect with their care team, while the other received standard care. Researchers wanted to see if the app helped catch problems earlier, reduced return trips to the hospital, and improved patient satisfaction.
