Virtual support program aims to ease burden on rural families battling childhood diabetes
NCT ID NCT07212790
Summary
This study is testing whether a telehealth program called REAL-Fam can help rural families better manage their child's type 1 diabetes. Researchers want to see if this 12-week virtual support program improves family quality of life, reduces stress, and helps stabilize children's blood sugar levels. The study will involve 16 rural families who live far from specialized diabetes care, comparing those who receive the full program to those who get basic check-ins.
