NCT ID NCT04042337

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether parents of children with autism can learn a therapy called Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) through secure video calls. 40 children aged 2 to 5 with autism and language delays took part. Some parents received 12 weekly video training sessions, while others were placed on a waitlist. The goal was to see if children whose parents got training improved their communication skills more than those on the waitlist.
