Can a text message help save lives from lung cancer?

NCT ID NCT06638554

Summary

This study is testing whether telehealth outreach—like video calls, phone calls, or text messages—can help more people complete the required shared decision-making visit before lung cancer screening. Researchers want to see if these remote approaches work equally well for different racial groups and genders. The study will enroll 6,000 adults aged 50-80 who have a significant smoking history but haven't had lung cancer screening in the past two years.
