First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested whether an 8-week cognitive training program delivered via telehealth is practical and well-liked by veterans recovering from alcohol use disorder who have mild memory or thinking problems. Nineteen veterans participated, and the main goal was to see if they would stick with the program and find it helpful. The approach aims to fill a gap in current treatments, which often don't address cognitive issues that can raise relapse risk.
