Summary
This study tested whether a special program of rehabilitation delivered by phone and video could help people who needed a breathing machine for severe breathing failure. About 1,900 adults took part, and the program focused on recovery in the ICU, on the regular ward, and after going home. The main goal was to see if it improved quality of life 90 days after leaving the hospital.
