What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
antidepressants (SSRIs)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help doctors better understand how teens with anorexia feel about antidepressant treatment, potentially improving communication and care.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, completed interview study with only 15 participants. It does not test whether antidepressants work for anorexia, so it cannot change treatment guidelines on its own.
