Summary
This study tested whether the drug tecovirimat is safe and effective for treating monkeypox (mpox) in adults and children. About 600 participants received either tecovirimat or a placebo, along with standard care, for 14 days. The main goal was to see how quickly skin lesions healed. Results help doctors understand if this antiviral can help control the disease.
