NCT ID NCT06377514

First seen Nov 11, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested a new type of artificial lens (TECNIS Next-Generation) for people having cataract surgery. 245 adults with cataracts in both eyes received either the new lens or a standard lens. The goal was to see if the new lens provides better vision at intermediate distances (like arm's length) while maintaining good distance and near vision. Results showed the new lens improved intermediate vision compared to the standard lens.
