Shocking scar study: can electrical therapy ease C-Section pain?
NCT ID NCT05696301
First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at whether tecar therapy, a type of electrical treatment, can reduce pain from cesarean section scars. Nineteen women with painful scars received either real tecar therapy or a fake (sham) treatment over three weeks. The goal was to see if the real therapy helped more than the sham. The trial was stopped early, so results are limited.
