Summary
This study tested a teaching program to improve nurses' knowledge and practice of infection control for patients having a type of kidney stone surgery called percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Thirty nurses participated, and the goal was to see if training could reduce infections and shorten hospital stays. The study focused on educating nurses, not on giving a new treatment to patients.
