Teachers become frontline therapists for struggling teens
NCT ID NCT06248203
Summary
This study tests a new approach to address the youth mental health crisis in rural India by training teachers to provide mental health support to their students. Teachers in 60 low-cost private schools will learn to weave evidence-based therapeutic techniques into their daily interactions with adolescents showing signs of depression or anxiety. The goal is to create a sustainable, accessible system of care in areas where professional therapists are scarce.
