This study tested whether using the 'teach-back' method—where patients repeat instructions in their own words—helps people better understand their care after lower leg surgery. 64 adults were split into two groups: one received standard discharge education, the other received teach-back education. Researchers measured how ready patients felt to go home and what they still needed to learn. The goal is to improve recovery and reduce complications by making sure patients truly understand their post-surgery care.
