Electric scalp therapy shows promise for chronic knee pain

Summary

This study tests if a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS can reduce pain and improve daily function in people with knee osteoarthritis. 102 adults with persistent knee pain will receive either real or sham tDCS for 15 sessions over three weeks. Researchers will measure pain, sensitivity, mood, and quality of life before, after, and one month later.
