First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether an optimized multichannel tDCS (a gentle brain stimulation technique) works better than standard tDCS or a fake treatment for easing depression. Sixty adults with moderate-to-severe major depression received one of the three approaches. The goal was to see if the new method improves mood and thinking more safely and effectively.
